SKATING BACKGROUND / STORY: My love for figure skating began the first time I stepped onto the ice at the age of 9. I was immediately hooked and spent the rest of my childhood on the ice until the age of 15, when injury derailed my competitive dreams. Subsequently, I studied ballet, modern, jazz, and choreography, and performed around the Chicago area and later with my college dance company. Following graduation, I taught dance for skaters, but was drawn back onto the ice as a skater and coach. I founded the short-lived Chicago Ice Theater, taught competitive skating, and choreographed for our bi-annual shows. After a few years, I joined The Ice Theatre of New York, where I continued teaching in the tri-state area, and where I completed my Gold Singles and Silver Dance, and Silver Free Dance. After a few years in NYC I left to join the Ice Capades, where I met my future husband. We moved to Los Angeles where we raised 3 amazing and artistic kids. I am thrilled to be here in Fort Collins at EPIC beginning yet another chapter of my figure skating journey!
