Advanced Jumps - Wednesdays 11:15-11:45am - $70
Axel through double loop. This will entail rigorous rotational speed exercises, fast twitch muscle exercises, developing a strong core to stop rotation, along with balance and agility drills while developing and maintaining proper and safe jump technique.
Advanced Spins - Wednesdays 11:45am to 12:15pm - $70
This class is for those who are working on all three positions -upright, sit and camel. We will work on proper posture and work on hitting the required positions according to the USFS rulebook. An EDEA spinner is best for this class (go to edeaskates.com.) There are a few grounded spinners which are available upon request though a limited number available.
Intro to Jumps - Tuesdays 1pm to 1:30pm - $60
We will cover 4 phases of a jump: flight position form, take off, anchoring and landing body alignment. Training will also entail waking up the fast twitch muscles with several exercises. These become even more important in axels and doubles. Developing these skills at an early age will make more difficult jumps easier. (*class max: 10).
